1. Positive Statement
What are you most proud of in your Lesson 1 Presentation and why?
What are you most proud of in your Lesson 1 Presentation and why?
First off, I enjoyed having
the opportunity of presenting on my own. I enjoyed being able to
present on my senior project because all the research I have
done paid off. In my lesson 1 presentation, I am most proud of how I
was able to execute the things I had to say without the need of
flashcards or any reference point. I am also proud of how I was
able to present everything I had written on my lesson plan. I greatly
appreciate having the opportunity to present because these kinds of experiences
help all aspects of my life.
2. Questions to Consider
a. What assessment would you give yourself on your Lesson 1 Presentation (self-assessment)?
I would give myself an AE.
AE P AP CR NCb. Explain why you deserve that grade using evidence from the Lesson 1 component contract.
I felt I had a potential volume
and enunciation. I moved a bit from one side of the "stage" to the
other side to maintain my audience engaged, while at the same
time having eye contact. I engaged with the audience successfully and was
able to have every single person participate in my hook content. I know my
topic very well, and was able to say everything I had on my lesson plan.
I used a variety of examples that I referenced throughout my
presentation; and I referenced a few sources that I used for
my presentation. I explained my mentorship and what I have been doing
there. I used formal/casual clothes for my presentation that I hand selected the
night before. I used a variety of visuals so that the audience could have
a better understanding of my topic.
3. What worked for you in your Lesson 1?
There
were so many things that worked. Things like being able to organized my
presentation accurately, being able to have my content down and ready,
and being able to be physically presentable to my audience. I think my
preparation was key for all the things that worked before and during my
presentation.
4. (What didn't work) If you had a time machine, what would you have done differently to improve your Lesson 1?
To improve my lesson 1, considering that most learners are
visual learners, I would have liked to provide more visuals to my audience
so that they could have a better understanding of every point I lectured on my topic.
